Boy killed as tempo hits him while crossing road

Hunsur: A six-year-old boy was killed on the spot when a tempo hit him while he was crossing the road near Gejjeravaddaragudi village in Bilikere.

The unfortunate victim of the accident has been identified as Bharath, son of Rajesh and Yashoda couple and a resident of Gejjeravaddaragudi village.

Bharath was crossing the road to go to a shop to buy eatables, when a tempo (KA 12 A 7465) carrying eggs, hit Bharath, killing him on the spot.

The driver of the tempo, identified as Rakshith of Madikeri has been arrested by the Bilikere Police, who have also seized the tempo.

ASI Shantharaju, who has registered a case, shifted the body of Bharath to MMC&RI for post-mortem.
