Mysuru: Mysuru District and City Brahmana Sangha in association with Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Mahasabha (AKBMS) and other District Brahmin Associations had organised a function recently at Sindhoora Samudaya Bhavan in Vishweshwaranagar here to felicitate K.N. Venkatanarayan, who has been re-elected as the President of AKBMS.
Speaking on the occasion, Sangha President D.T. Prakash hailed the contributions of Venkatanarayan for the welfare of Brahmin community and co-ordinating the members instilling confidence and leadership qualities.
He recalled the mega convention of Brahmins held recently at Sri Ganapathy Ashrama which was a grand success with participation of about 20,000 members.
Speaking after being felicitated by MLA S.A. Ramdas, Vekatanarayan opined that the community heritage should be preserved with good social service to the society without harping on the achievements. He expressed happiness over the steady growth of Brahmana Sangha over the last five years.
District Co-operative Union President H.V. Rajeev, former MUDA Chairman K.R. Mohan Kumar and others were present.
