Mysuru: Mysuru Brahmana Sangha Okkuta had organised a function at Shankar Mutt premises in Agrahara here recently to felicitate H.V. Rajev, who has been elected for the 4th time in succession as Director of State Souharda Co-operative Federation Limited.
Inaugurating the programme, former MUDA Chairman K.R. Mohan Kumar asked Brahmin youth to get involved in politics for the betterment of the community.
He commended Rajev for his multi-faceted personality covering education, co-operative sector, politics and cleanliness campaign.
He alleged that there were many poor people in Brahmin community and hence sought reservation for the community which is a long-pending demand which is yet to be finalised.
Rajev was felicitated on the occasion. Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji of Melkote graced the occasion.
