Bengaluru: Former Congress leader from Kodagu Brijesh Kalappa joined Aam Admi Party (AAP) here on Monday.
Brijesh Kalappa, who is a senior Supreme Court Lawyer, had served as a Congress Spokesperson for a couple of years, before he quit the party a couple of months ago.
Speaking after joining AAP at an induction programme organised at a private hotel here on Monday, Brijesh Kalappa said that he was hugely inspired by the leadership of AAP Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Accusing BJP of maladministration and corruption, Kalappa said that the people were fed up with BJP Governments at the Centre and the State.
Stating that he was joining AAP as he considered that it is the only party which can deliver and bring about drastic changes in politics and administration, he observed that the nation’s fortune and future can change with AAP coming to power in the country.
AAP Karnataka in-Charge Dilip Pandey, State President Prithvi Reddy, Vice-President Bhaskar Rao (a former IPS Officer), party leaders ‘Mukhyamantri’ Chandru, K. Mathai (a former KAS Officer), Mohan Dasari, Sanchit Sahani, Jagadish Kadam, Kushalaswamy, Channappagowda Nallur, Suresh Rathod, Darshan Jain and others were present.
