I wish to bring to your notice that BSNL has issued me a telephone bill for Rs. 707 and asked me to make the payment immediately against telephone No. 0821-2434671.

I have never applied for this telephone connection, nor has BSNL installed any such telephone at my residence. Despite this, BSNL has been sending me bills for this connection since 2023-24. I personally submitted a request at the RTTC (Regional Telecom Training Centre), Mysuru, asking the authorities to cancel the connection and waive the bills.

I have also sent several e-mails requesting the same. However, despite my repeated requests, BSNL has now issued me a notice threatening legal action for non-payment of the bill.

As a senior citizen, I find this extremely disturbing. Hence, I wish to highlight this issue through Star of Mysore and create awareness among the public about such instances of bills being issued for telephone connections that were never applied for, as well as the lack of response from the BSNL officials.

I hope the authorities will look into the matter and resolve it at the earliest.
