Mysuru: Even as the Congress called for a nationwide bandh today in protest against rising fuel prices, over hundred members of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) staged a demonstration in the city this morning over the same issue.
After submitting a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner at the DC’s Office and staging a protest for some time at the venue, the BSP members marched in a procession passing through Vinoba Road, D. Devaraj Urs Road, Big Clock Tower and Gandhi Square to reach Town Hall, where they staged a demonstration near Dr. B.R. Ambedkar statue.
The protestors who raised slogans against the Centre and Prime Minister Modi, urged the Government to bring down fuel prices. BSP office-bearers Sosale Siddaraju, Somesh, Rahul, K.N. Prabhuswamy, Pratap, Begum and others took part.
