BSW Honours programme at University of Mysore

Mysore/Mysuru: Admissions are open for the academic year 2022-23 for BSW Honours programme under NEP-2020 at the Department of Studies (DoS) in Social Work, University of Mysore.

Admissions will be made through Unified University & College Management System (UUCMS). Last date for admission is Sept. 15.

Those who have passed PUC or any other equivalent course are eligible to apply for this four-year (8 semesters) programme.

Following facilities will be available for the students:

Well-equipped classrooms with multimedia projectors and smart board facility, computer laboratories, free internet access with LAN and Wi-Fi facilities, placement assistance in reputed organisations with the support from the Alumni Association of the Department, hostel facilities for men and women, education loan facility, coaching classes for competitive exams and special workshops to help students develop their personalities.

Those who complete the course will have the following job opportunities: Government sector – ICMR Scientist-B, Social Scientist, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; Assistant Labour Commissioners, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India; Psychiatric Social Workers – NIMHANS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI; Private sector – HR Executives and Labour Welfare Officers in different industries like Toyota, TVS, Volvo, AT&S and L&T, etc.; CSR Executives in different industries; Community Development Project Officers in NGOs.
