Mysuru: Purna Chetana Public School is holding ‘Buddhimaan – 2019’, a contest to identify the ‘Brightest kid of Mysuru’. This contest will test children’s creative thinking, problem solving skills and critical thinking ability.
The objective of this competition is to engage children this summer holidays in a productive way and the contest will run continuously for 7 days starting April 21 to April 27.
During this period, 7 questions will be asked on a daily basis which will test the child’s creativity, problem solving and critical thinking ability. Children should attempt these questions as directed and should send answers to WhatsApp number 9606044112, along with their name, class and school name.
All the answers which are received will be posted on Purna Chetana Public School’s Facebook and Instagram pages. The last date to receive answers is April 28. Children between 9 years and 15 years can participate. This contest is held to know the true potential of children and hence parents are requested to not to help the child to answer the questions.
The answers will be evaluated by three judges – Dr. C.G. Nagaraj – Educationist and retired Head Master, DMS – RIE Mysuru, Dr. Rajini, Renowned Child Psychologist and Shamsundar Subbarao, Head, NIE-CREST and Associate Professor, NIE, Mysuru.
The judges will shortlist top 5 students and they will be called for a face-to-face interaction on May 2 and the final results will reveal who the ‘Brightest kid of Mysuru’ is.
The winner will get Rs. 10,000 cash prize, certificate and memento. The winner’s name will be announced in Star of Mysore on May 3.
