BuildTech-2020: National Seminar on “Smart Construction” from tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysore Centre and Mysore Builders’ Charitable Trust, have organised BuildTech-2020, a National Seminar on the topic “Smart Construction with BIM & GIS” Jan.8 and 9 at their MBCT Auditorium, Vishweshwaranagar.

BuildTech-2020 is the 19th edition of BuildTech National Technical Seminar which will enlighten on “Smart Construction with Building Information Modelling and Geographic Information System.

The seminar will be inaugurated by National President of BAI Mu. Mohan at 10 am tomorrow. Chief Engineer of Cauvery Neeravari Nigama Irrigation South Shankare Gowda will be the chief guest. Dr. Amarnath, President of BIM Association, will deliver the keynote address. Introduction of BIM by Bhushan, President, International BIM Association from Malaysia. Creation of digital twin by Architects Naveen and Shaji of Total Environment Management of Projects using 5D in Indian condition by Pranavpareek, a leading BIM consultant from Bombay.

On the second day, introduction to GIS and application of GIS from Macro to Micro level by Mrs. Gargi of Sky Group Bengaluru, an alumnus of IIT Karagpur. Anbu Devaneyan, Regional Head South and Bala, Athirala of Geokno will speak on LIDAR survey, a case study of Mumbai to Ahmedabad rapid rail system detailing using LiDAR, a drone based application of GIS. 

V. Srinivasa Rao, Managing Director of BT & BT, will speak on QEnancer lean digital software which supports construction quality 4.0 solutions. Dr. Ramu, Coordinator for GIS at University of Mysore and Shivaramu will speak on application of GIS as a case study of water supply and management of Mumbai city.

BAI Mysore Centre Chairman M. Rathnaraj, Organising Committee Chairman of BuildTech 2020  K.U.Ganapathi, and Secretary V.Gurudatt have requested professionals in the field of Civil Engineering to register for the seminar.
