Mysuru:  House burglars, who gained entry into a house at Shakthinagar during dark by opening the bolt of the door through the window, have decamped with gold ornaments and cash from the house.

The burglary took place on Dec. 31 night at the house of one Chandrashekar in Shakthinagar.

Before going to sleep, Chandrashekar, who removed the gold ornaments he was wearing, put them in a bag along with Rs. 10,000 cash, placed the bag on the cot and went to sleep. The theft came to light when Chandrashekar’s wife, who woke up in the early morning, saw the bag thrown outside and on inspecting it she found it empty.

A case has been registered at Udayagiri Police Station in this regard.
