Burglars steal gold ornaments from locked house

Mysuru: House burglars, who gained entry into a locked house by using the key kept on the window sill by the house owner, have decamped with gold ornaments and cash kept in the house belonging to Yashoda at Lingambudhipalya here on Saturday.

Yashoda, who had to go out for some work, had kept the key of the house on the window sill after locking the house on   Saturday morning.

When she returned in the evening and went into the house, she found gold ornaments weighing about 29.50 grams and Rs. 5,000 cash missing from the house. Burglars had used the house key kept on the window sill to gain entry into the house, Yashoda has stated in  her complaint.

Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
