Burning Garbage at Rajiv Nagar 3rd Stage

January 28, 2018

On a regular basis at Rajiv Nagar 3rd Stage, near 100 ft. road, around 5 pm to 6.30 pm one can see thick black smoke from a few kilometres distance. There are some people who set fire to garbage as shown in the picture. Upon further inquiry, it was learnt that the City Corporation authorities are putting this fire as they are unable to dispose of the garbage scientifically, says one of the SOM readers W. Shariff, who sent us this picture. First of all, MCC authorities should make it a practice to dispose the garbage rather than becoming over-active during Swachh Bharat inspection. Will the authorities concerned wake up and stop this menace immediately?
