Mysuru: A businessman was found murdered by passersby, who found the body with injuries dumped on the roadside at Metagalli here yesterday morning.

The deceased businessman has been identified as Harish (30), son of Siddappa and a resident of Chamundeshwari Layout, opposite Vikrant factory in city. Harish owned Shivashakthi Fabrication in Metagalli.

It reported that Harish on Wednesday night, left for his home from his fabrication unit in his car. When he reached a petty shop nearby, a group of people reportedly attacked Harish with stones and iron rods killing him and threw the body nearby.

Meanwhile, Harish’s family members who waited for him till 11 pm, later lodged a complaint with Metagalli Police.

The murder came to light yesterday morning, when passersby saw the body at about 8.30 am and informed Metagalli Police.

Metagalli Inspector Raghavendra and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to JSS Hospital mortuary for post-mortem and registered a case. The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem.

Meanwhile, the Police have suspected one Swamy, who lives near the petty shop behind the murder as Swamy and Harish had a fight for petty issue recently.
