C. Ashwathnarayan (80), a resident of Badanaguppe village here, passed away on Monday morning at a private hospital following brief illness.

A native of Uttuvalli, he leaves behind his daughter Sudha, son-in-law R. Gopal Rao and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the family’s farm land at Badanaguppe in the evening, according to sources.
