Cabinet approves regularisation of contract Pourakarmikas

Bengaluru: In a good news for thousands of contract Pourakarmikas serving in City Corporations and other Urban Local Bodies across the State, the State Cabinet on Monday gave nod for regularisation of their service, which will benefit over 11,000 Pourakarmikas.

Following the Cabinet approval, the services of 11,133 contract Pourakarmikas serving in the State for long, including 3,673 in BBMP, 1,927 serving in other City Corporations and 5,533 serving in the rest of Urban Local Bodies (CMCs, TMCs and TPs) across the State, will be regularised.

The services will be regularised under special recruitment norms and all the newly regularised Pourakarmikas will get a pay scale of Rs.17,000 to Rs. 28,980.
