Calling borewell owners

Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri said that it is mandatory for all borewell owners and operators, who are using borewells for industrial, commercial and entertainment or amusement purposes, to register with Karnataka Groundwater Authority, as per the Karnataka Groundwater (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) Act, 2011. In a press release, the DC said that it is compulsory for borewell owners to apply (Form1B) for getting permission or No Objection Certificate (NoC) and to register with the Authority (Form 4), by submitting all necessary documents and paying the prescribed fee at the District Groundwater Resources Authority Office in Saraswathipuram.
