Calling NGOs to open Old Age Homes

Mysuru: The Department for Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens has decided to extend the opening of old age homes in all revenue divisions in all districts for the year 2018-19.

It has invited applications from NGOs to open and maintain the same in Hunsur and Mysuru revenue division. The Government will provide Rs.8 lakh grants for annual maintenance of old age home including food, clothing, medicine, shelter, entertainment and other facilities to inmates.

Interested NGOs must be registered two years back and must be ready to take care of inmates irrespective of caste, creed, religion and language armed with sufficient staff, space and all basic facilities. NGOs must be financially sound to open old age home. Interested may obtain the prescribed forms from the office of the Department and submit the filled-in forms before Jan.28.
