The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AHVS) has invited applications from milk producing farmers belonging to SC and ST community to avail benefits under Special Central Assistance (SCA) to Scheduled Castes  Sub Plan (SCSP).

Under the scheme, the cost of setting up Unit for Crossbreeding in Dairy Cattle and Improved Buffalo breeding unit is Rs. 60,000. Ninety percent of the amount will be given as financial assistance and the remaining 10 percent may be taken as a loan from the bank.

The cost to set up of 10+1 Goat, Sheep Unit is Rs. 66, 000, out of which 90 percent financial assistance will be provided while the remaining 10 percent must be taken as loan from bank.

However, priority will be given to 33.3 percent women and 3 percent differently-abled people. Eligible farmers may submit applications before Dec. 30. Applications are available at their respective Taluk   AVHS Departments.
