Apr.30 last date to submit entries
Mysuru: The Young Indians (Yi) Mysuru Chapter, an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has launched Young Indians Parliament (YiP-2025), a national-level initiative aimed at instilling civic consciousness, leadership capabilities and policy understanding among school students.
With the theme “Where Young Minds Shape the Nation – Debate, Decide, Drive,” YiP provides a dynamic platform for students to engage in parliamentary simulations, participate in structured debates and gain first-hand experience in governance and public policy.
YiP aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision to empower youth without political lineage to step into roles of governance and leadership, promoting the belief that the strength of democracy lies in merit, ideas and the courage to lead.
Through its three-tier format — City Rounds, Regional Rounds and National Finals — students are encouraged to develop public speaking, negotiation and policy analysis skills. The top-performing students from city-level rounds will move on to regional rounds conducted across 8 cities and finalists will take part in the national parliamentary simulation.
In 2024, YiP saw participation from over 4,300 students across 720 schools, facilitated by 8 Yi City Chapters. The initiative focuses on relevant and critical themes including Skill Development & AI Readiness, Environmental Sustainability, Education Reform, Youth Empowerment, Women & Child Safety and Technology & Cybersecurity.
Interested schools in and around Mysuru may submit their entries by Apr.30 to be part of this impactful youth leadership initiative.
