Mysuru: Questioning why the State Government’s order mentions cancellation of alternative sites allotted only after Mar. 14, 2023, KR MLA T.S. Srivatsa has urged the Government to cancel the allotment of sites sanctioned between 2019 and 2023 as well.
Addressing a press meet at his office on the MCC Zone-1 office premises at Agrahara this morning, Srivatsa maintained that as many as 4,350 sites were illegally allotted under the 50:50 ratio scheme between 2019 and 2024 and demanded that the allotment of all these sites be cancelled.
Challenging the Congress Government to produce facts if the MUDA scam occurred during the BJP rule, Srivatsa claimed that the 14 alternative sites allotted to former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s family members were among the 4,350 sites.
“Why has no action been taken against the then MUDA Commissioner D.B. Natesh, who is also part of the scam? The State Government also allotted 252.10 acres to Gnanaganga Housing Society in violation of norms and sanctioned 848 sites illegally,” he alleged.
Srivatsa reiterated his demand that the Government immediately issue an order cancelling all 4,350 sites allotted between 2019 and 2024.
Questioning Urban Development Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah for not acting against sites allotted between 2019 and 2023, Srivatsa said that the 14 sites allotted to the former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s family members would also come under this category.
He also questioned the rationale behind the promotion given to D.B. Natesh, whom he alleged was equally responsible for the irregularities in MUDA, while another former MUDA Commissioner, G.T. Dinesh Kumar, was booked and sent to jail.
District BJP President Kumbralli Subbanna, former Mayor Shivakumar and party leaders B.M. Raghu, Gopalraje Urs and Mahesh were present at the press meet.
