Mysore/Mysuru:  According to the District Electoral Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra, candidates in the election can open booths at a minimum distance of 200 metres from polling stations with two chairs, one table and a 3×4 ½ ft. banner with permission from the Election Officer and local authority.

However, campaigning is prohibited and candidates are only allowed to issue voter slips containing the part number, roll number and name of the voter, without any symbols or candidate names.

Candidates can depute their agent

Candidates can depute one of their agents to Polling Booth, as the Polling Officer has been issued permission to make seating arrangements for them. Though alternate agent will be arranged, only one agent is permitted at a time at the Polling Booth and the candidates must take note of this.

As per directions of Election Commission, Micro Observers will be deputed to select Polling Booths on the day of election, along with making arrangements for web casting and deployment of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel.
