Candle Light March held

As a promotional activity of ‘AIISH AAWAAZ-2017’ to be held from Mar. 17 to 19, All India Institute of Speech & Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, had organised a ‘Candle Light March’ on Mar. 10. The theme of the ‘Candle Light March was “Let’s Light Up the Future of Special Children.” It was a general public event focusing on providing equal opportunities for everyone, mainly persons with disability to function in par with other normal individuals. Dr. K. Rajalakshmi, Professor, Department of Audiology, AIISH, flagged off the ‘Candle Light March’ at Gun House near Mysore Palace and passed through Basaveshwara Circle, Ramaswamy Circle, Fire Brigade, Kukkarahalli Lake and concluded at AIISH Gymkhana, Panchavati Campus, Bogadi Road, Mysuru. The total number of participants were around 300.  Dr. Animesh Burman, Vice-President, AIISH – Gymkhana, was present on the occasion.
