Mysuru: In a bid to create awareness on the importance of canine blood donation, a drive was held by Shree Pet Clinic in Vijayanagar 4th Stage here recently.

Renowned Music Director Arjun Janya handed over certificates to a group of dog owners, who had registered their pets for canine blood donation. Lauding them  for their gesture, he said that these pet owners would rush with their dogs to the clinic during emergency for blood transfusion to save another dog which is in need of blood. He called upon pet owners to join hands in this cause by registering their pet dogs as Emergency Blood Donor so that they can save the lives of other pet dogs which may die due to non-availability of donor dog.

Pointing out lack of awareness among pet dog owners that their pets can donate blood and save lives of other dogs, Arjun Janya said that more such awareness drives should be held so that pet owners come to know about the importance of canine blood donation.
