Mysore/Mysuru: Entrepreneur Capt. G.R. Gopinath will formally inaugurate the 64th Heritage Music Festival, organised by Sri Prasanna Vidya Ganapathi Mandali Charitable (SPVGMC) Trust, Mysuru, in association with the Kannada and Culture Department, at 8th Cross Ganesha Pandal in V.V. Mohalla here on Aug. 28 at 6 pm.
Industrialist & SPVGMC Trust President M. Jagannath Shenoy will preside over the event.
Following the inaugural ceremony, Vid. T.M. Krishna will give a vocal concert, accompanied by Vidu. Akkarai Subhalakshmi on violin, Vid. Jayachandra Rao on mridanga and Vid. Chandrashekar Sharma on ghata.
On the eve of the formal inauguration, on Aug. 27 at 6.45 pm, Vid. Melukote Nagesh will present Nadaswara with Vid. Keshav Mohankumar on violin, Vid. B.S. Prashanth on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Koushik on ghata.
The 13-day Musical Fest concludes on Sept. 8 with Nagara Sankeertane at 6 am and Nakshatra Homa by Challakere Brothers (Vedic Scholars M.S. Venugopal and M.S. Srinivasan) at 8 am.
