Car mows down elderly man

Mysore/Mysuru: In a tragic incident, an unidentified elderly man aged about 60 years, died after being run over by a car recently.

The man, who is said to be a beggar, was lying at the edge of the road near Big Clock Tower in the heart of the city on the afternoon of Dec. 23, when he was run over by a speeding car that came from B.N. Road side.

The man, who suffered serious injuries, was rushed to K.R. Hospital, where he breathed his last some time later.

The jurisdictional Devaraja Police have registered a case in this regard.
