Mysuru: An incident of an Assistant Sales Manager of a car showroom failing to remit booking amount taken from customers and absconding with the same thus cheating the customers and the company has been reported in city.

The person, who cheated customers and the company, has been identified as D. Kiran, a resident of Rajendranagar in city, who was working as an Assistant Sales Manager at Sagar Autotech Pvt. Ltd. (Skoda car showroom) on Manandawadi Road, Opposite to NIE College in city.

As Kiran had taken customers into his confidence, many customers had deposited lakhs of rupees to the account of Kiran as booking amount. But Kiran, who allegedly failed to remit the same to the account of the car showroom, went absconding with the booking amount.

Customers, Malathi had remitted Rs. 1.7 lakh, Nagaraju Rs. 5.03 lakh, Swathi Rs. 2.43 lakh and Kathik Murthy had remitted Rs. 3 lakh to the account of Kiran.

Rupal Patel of the Car Showroom has lodged a complaint with Vidyaranyapuram Police, seeking action against Kiran. Vidyaranyapuram Police, who have registered a case are investigating.
