Carcasses of tigress, leopard found

Gundlupet: Carcasses of a 6-year-old tigress and a 7-year-old leopard have been found in a highly decomposed state at Vontigudda behind Skandagiri Parvathi Hill in the taluk.

A youths who had followed the pug marks of a big wild cat, that had attacked a calf, found the carcass of the leopard on the rock and also found the carcass of the tigress at a bush nearby.

ACF M.S. Nataraju, veterinarian Dr. Nagaraju and staff who came to the spot, inspected the place and said that the exact cause of death would be known only after post-mortem.
