Mysore/Mysuru: Carmel Catholic Association will be conducting its 30th Carol Singing Competition on Sunday (Dec.11) at Teresian College auditorium in Siddartha Layout.
Morning session participants are requested to report at the venue at 8 am and afternoon session participants at 12 noon. About 100 teams from kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, colleges, parishes, religious institutions and professionals are expected to participate in 12 categories in the day-long programme.
Rt. Rev. Dr. K.A. William, Bishop of Mysuru, will be the chief guest and inaugurate the function at 8 am. Rev. Fr. Shaji Kunnel, Parish Priest, Mount Carmel Church, Mysuru, and Rev. Fr. Roy Pooppilly, Advisor and Superior, Carmel Bhavan, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour.
The valedictory function will be held at 6 pm. Rev. Fr. Dr. John Francis Sequeira, OCD, Rector, Pushpashrama, will be the chief guest.
Brahmachari Atmanirat Chaitanya, Mata Amritanandamayi Math and Rev. Fr. Dr. Varghese Kelamparambil, CMI, Patron and Provincial, St.Paul’s Province, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour. Johnson. K. Chalissery, President, CCA, will preside over the function.
