Carry an identity card while going out

June 23, 2019

Sir,

Recently my friend’s father who is new to Mysuru was presumed to be missing, during his morning walk. Apart from his mother tongue, which is not Kannada, he is not conversant with any other language and was not carrying his mobile phone also.

After a panic search for more than an hour, he was located sitting in an isolated corner of a park, quite far away from his residence. It was observed that being a diabetic patient, he had an attack of hypo-glycaemia and could not recollect the route to his residence.

Whenever somebody (need not be a new person to Mysuru)  goes for a walk or for any outside  errand, it is better for the person to carry  an identity card with the contact details, to be contacted in case of any emergency. This will save the tension of the people sitting at home.
