Mysuru: In separate cases, Lakshmipuram Police have registered a case against two persons on charges of producing different Aadhaar cards at various Law Courts to secure bail for accused.
Those accused of providing different Aadhaar cards are 59-year-old Madegowda of Chamarajanagar and 55-year-old Siddappaji alias Amavasappa of Jattihundi, Yelwal hobli.
For an accused in a POCSO case registered at N.R. Police Station, Madegowda had provided the Aadhaar card along with the property documents in Survey No. 397/4 at Haradanahalli in Chamarajanagar district to the Court and had secured bail for the accused.
In another case, registered at Saraswathipuram Police Station, Madegowda and Siddappaji had secured bail to another accused.
Based on the order from the Judge, who stated that Madegowda and Siddapaji had provided different Aadhaar cards at various Law Courts to secure bail to many accused, thus cheating the Courts, Sessions Court Administrative Officer Ramesh B. Kulakarni, lodged a complaint at Lakshmipuram Police Station.
Based on the complaint, Lakshmipuram Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
