Cash prize for farmers at Suttur Jathra tomorrow

Mysuru/Mysore: A total of 12 farmers, who achieved the highest yield of crops per acre, will be presented with cash prize during Suttur Jathra at Suttur in Nanjangud Taluk tomorrow (Jan.24). The cash prize is instituted by Duggahatti Sundaramma Veerappa Foundation in order to motivate farmers in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts.

The prize winners – Paddy- Revanna of Jeemaranahalli (First) and Bhujangaradhya of Basavanapura (Second)

Banana- K.M. Nandeesh of Komaranapura, Yelandur Taluk (First) and J. Mallesh of Yeragamballi (Second).

Tomato- Suma of Kalpura village in Chamarajanagar taluk (First) and K.G. Gangadharamurthy of Govindawadi (Second).

Sugarcane- Niranjanmurthy of Kunthur (First) and Lingappa of Mullur (Second). Maize- Vrushabendraswamy of Gangadharkatte (First) and Shivamma of Naganattha village (Second).

Beans- A.Somasekhar of Manchahalli (First) and Chikkaveerappa of Kebbepura (Second).
