Krishna (48), son of Kenchegowda and a resident of Yaraganahalli, passed away in city yesterday. He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Yaraganahalli Burial Grounds this morning.

Kempamma (Chikkathayamma), a resident of Maruthi Tent Road at Janatanagar, passed away on Jan. 4 in city. She was 50. She leaves behind a son, a daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Last rites were held at Janatanagar Burial Grounds yesterday afternoon.

Palachanda Leela Chengappa (Machettira), a resident of Vijayanagar 1st Stage, passed away at a private hospital in city yesterday. She was 69. She leaves behind her husband, a son and a daughter. Last rites were performed at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam this morning.

Doddathayamma (77), a resident of Basavanapura in the taluk, passed away on Friday in the village. She leaves behind her husband, three sons, three daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and grandchildren. Last rites were held at the family’s farm on Saturday, according to family sources.

Sakamma (80), wife of late Maraiah of Bommenahalli in Yelwal hobli, passed away yesterday. She leaves behind three daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren including Congress leader and DCC Secretary Huilalu Ramaswamy. Last rites were performed at her farm at Bommenahalli this morning.

Ponnappa (Gappu), Pattedaara of Mandetira family and owner of Lalithadri Estate, Madapura, passed away in the wee hours of today at his residence in Kodagu. He was 98. He leaves behind sons Arun and Anil, daughters Asha, Amrit and Amitha, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and grandchildren. Cremation was held at Madapura this afternoon.
