Mysuru: U.R. Prabhakar (83), a resident of No. 2623, Vittal Vihar on Princess Road (KRS Road), passed away in the wee hours of today in city. He leaves behind two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites will be held tomorrow (Aug. 6) at 1.30 pm at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam.

Mysuru: R. Damodar Rao Shinde (70), a resident of Gayathripuram, passed away yesterday in city. He leaves behind his wife, three children including journalist Shashidar Rao Shinde and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill today, according to family sources.

B. Basavaraju (63), Congress leader, former Vice-President of Hosahundi Gram Panchayat and a resident of S. Uttanahalli, passed away yesterday. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters, one son and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at his farm land in Uttanahalli this afternoon, according to family sources.

Mysuru: Govinda Naika (49), an employee of Sri Chamundeshwari Development Authority and a resident of Ramabai Nagar, passed away yesterday in city. He leaves behind his wife, one son and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held in city.

Umar Khan (80), a resident of EWS, Hanumanthanagar 2nd Stage, Bannimantap, passed away following age related illness this morning in city.  He leaves behind his wife, five daughters, three sons, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.   Namaz-e-Janaza will be performed today at Tipu Masjid in Bannimantap after Namaz-e-Asar (5.15 pm) followed by the burial at the Muslim Burial Grounds near Tipu Circle. 

K.L. Girish Kumar (70), a businessman, proprietor of Arun Enterprises on Irwin Road and a resident of Siddarthanagar, passed away on July 24 in city.  He leaves behind his wife, one son, daughter-in-law, one daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.  Last rites were held on the same day at the foot of Chamundi Hill, according to family sources.

Dr. Sainath Iyer (82), a resident of Damden Apartments on Hinkal Ring Road, passed away on July 30 in city.   Dr. Sainath was a Table Tennis player and was a National Champion in 70 years category.  He leaves behind his wife, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends.   Last rites were held at Mukthidhama in Vijayanagar 4th Stage yesterday. 

Janaki Nataraj (97), wife of late C. Nataraj and a resident of Vontikoppal 2nd Main Road, passed away on July 31 in city.   She leaves behind two daughters, two sons, daughter-in-law, grandsons and a host of relatives and friends.  Last rites were held at Chirashanthidhama in Gokulam yesterday. 

Mysuru: Venugopal Raju, a resident of Jayalakshmipuram, passed away this morning in city.  He leaves behind his wife Uma Raju, son Srinivas (Seena) Raju, daughter Anuradha and a host of relatives and friends.  Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to family sources. 

Hunsur: H.V. Lakshmi, wife of Mysuru Mithra and Star of Mysore Hunsur reporter K. Krishna, passed away at K.R. Hospital in Mysuru yesterday following heart attack. She leaves behind her husband, son Abhilash and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the burial grounds near Hunsur Taluk Office this afternoon.
