Dr. Shankar P. Hosamani (72), retd. Professor of Botany Department, University of Mysore, passed away yesterday. He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites today at 3.30 pm at Veerashaiva burial ground in Vidyaranyapuram.

Chennamma (70), a resident of K.G. Koppal, passed away here yesterday. She leaves behind her husband Basavaiah, President of Vishwamanava Double Road Nagarika Vedike and a host of relatives. Last rites were performed this afternoon at K.G. Koppal burial grounds, according to family sources. Her eyes were donated to K.R. Hospital’s Eye Bank.

Girigamma, wife of late Yajaman Marithibbegowda and a resident of Bogadi, passed away at a private hospital here yesterday following a brief illness. She leaves behind seven daughters, a son and host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at Bogadi this afternoon.
