Noted Theatre personality Devarahalli D.V. Channabasappa (87), a resident of Shakthinagar passed away on Mar. 26 in city following brief illness.

A pioneer in directing several historical, mythological and social dramas, he leaves behind his wife, three sons, one daughter and a host of theatre artistes, relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at his native place Devarahalli in Gundlupet taluk yesterday.
