Prof. Shivabasavanna, former Principal, Mandya Boys College, passed away at his residence in Yadavagiri here this morning. He was 87. He leaves behind a son, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites will be held at Veerashaiva Burial Grounds at Vidyaranyapuram at 5 pm today, according to family sources.

Dayananda Sagar (65), retired employee of ITC and a resident of Hunsur, passed away at a private hospital in Udupi yesterday following brief illness. He leaves behind his wife, three sons and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at CSI burial grounds in Hunsur this afternoon.
