Cattle thieves arrested

Mysuru: Mysuru Rural Police have arrested five persons on charges of stealing cows and have recovered cows from them.

The arrested are 32-year-old Syed Irfan of Shanthinagar, 30-year-old Shakir Ahmed, 30-year-old Syed Riyaz of Idgah Nagar, 36-year-old Naveed Pasha of Kalyangiri and 34-year-old Mohammed Ismail of Azeez Sait Nagar.

The Police arrested them near Kadakola, while they were transporting the cows in a tempo. During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of stealing cows at Goluru and Kalalawadi.

A case has been registered at Mysuru Rural Police Station in this regard.
