Cattle trader murder case: Another complaint lodged against Puneet Kerehalli

All five accused in Police custody for 7 days

Bengaluru: Another complaint has been lodged against right wing activist Puneet Kerehalli, who is the prime suspect in the murder of cattle trader Idris Pasha. An assault case has been registered against Puneet, who was arrested by Sathanur Police at Rajasthan recently.

According to the complaint lodged by 30-year-old Aleemulla Baig, who was transporting cattle on Hosur Road on the outskirts of city on Mar. 20, Puneet and three others assaulted him with a stun gun and tortured him. Based on the complaint from Aleemulla, Electronic City Police have registered an assault case, illegal interception and criminal intimidation cases under various IPC Sections.

According to the FIR, Aleemulla was entrusted with the task of transporting cattle to Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu. Puneet Kerahalli and his three accomplices Santosh, Chethan and Deepak intercepted his vehicle on the Nice Road and first assaulted vehicle driver Rafiq for transporting cattle and abused him. They then gave him electric shocks using a stun gun.Meanwhile, Puneet Kerehalli and four others, who were arrested in the cattle trader Idris Pasha murder case have been given Police custody for seven days by the Kanakapura JMFC Court.

The five accused, were produced before Kanakapura JMFC Court Judge yesterday, who remanded the accused to Police custody for a week.

As further interrogation was necessary, the Police had appealed the Court to give the accused to their custody, following which the Judge passed an order in this regard.
