The following prize-winning students of CAVA (Chamarajendra Government College of Visual Arts), Mysuru, have been selected to take part in the 31st Inter-University National Youth Festival (2023-24) as representatives of University of Mysore.
In the Applied Arts section, Darshan B. Malkamkar has bagged the first place in poster-making and third place in cartoning section. In the painting section, Sanketh has bagged the third place in collage-making, while in the sculpture section, Yeshwanth has secured the first place in clay-modelling. Students Sanketh, Yeshwanth, Darshan and H.P. Srikara have bagged the first place in Group event installation contest.
Also, Abhilash, a BVA student, bagged two gold medals in Sculpture during the 104th Convocation of University of Mysore held recently. This apart, Bhuvan Jain secured a gold medal and a cash prize in painting, H.P. Shivaraj bagged cash prize in BVA Applied Arts and M.P. Meghana bagged the cash prize in BVA Photography and Photo-journalism.
Admission open: Admissions are open for BVA Visual Arts course in CAVA. Interested students can register under Integrated University and College Management system portal and then apply online.
