Mysore/Mysuru: Acting  on a tip off, City Crime Branch Police arrested a person on the charges of drug peddling, near Satya Pramoda Kalyana Mantap at V.V. Mohalla here.

He was carrying 2 kg, 710 gram of Ganja worth Rs. 1,30,000, in the bag. A case has been registered in this connection.

Five gamblers held

In another incident, CCB Police arrested five persons on the charges of playing cards at a room in a lodge on Krishnavilas Road, Devaraja Mohalla in the city. The Police seized Rs. 58,000 stake money.

A case has been has been registered at Devaraja Police Station.

The Police made the arrests under the guidance of DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna, CCB ACP C.K. Ashwathanarayan. CCB Police Inspectors A.  Mallesh,  G. Shekar,  ASI Raju and staff Saleem Pasha, T. Prakash, A. Umamahesh, Govinda, Anil, Radhesh, Janardhanarao, Ravikumar, Srinivas and Arunkumar were also a part of the operations. City Police Commissioner B. Ramesh has appreciated the efforts.
