Mysuru: Celestia Aerospace Lab was inaugurated at Kautilya Vidyalaya in city recently by Nandini Harinath, Deputy Director of ISRO’s Telemetry Tracking and Command Network Centre (ISTRAC), who has successfully participated in Chandrayaan-3 and the lunar mission at ISRO.
Speaking on the occasion, she called upon the students to learn more to research. This institution is a trendsetter and the first one to go with the space lab and many more schools must follow suit. It’s not just a space lab, but a launch pad to the learning.
During interaction with students, she answered their queries and encouraged them to come up with many more creative activities.

Chairman of Kautilya Vidyalaya T. Babu said, “We are thrilled to introduce this innovative facility to our students. The lab will not only enhance their understanding of space and astronomy, but also inspires them to pursue careers this field.”
Principal Sashikala exuded confidence that the students will set an example to others by dreaming and becoming an astronaut.
Genex Space Lab team, led by Nikita, expressed gratitude to the Chairman and the entire Kautilya team.

About the Lab
The Space Lab is designed to provide students with a unique and interactive learning experience, focusing on space exploration, astronomy and STEM education.
The lab is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including simulators, virtual reality systems and a planetarium. Many space models like rocket roan, planetary rover, hi-tech telescope, binocular and gravity measuring missions are installed in this space laboratory.
The students of Grade 6, 7 and 8, exhibited their Space models like Chandrayaan-3, Aditya-L1, constellation, solar system, telescope with great enthusiasm and excitement.
The students of Grade 5 displayed an invocation dance.
A quiz was organised for students and parents in the school. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners.
The students of kindergarten dressed up as astronauts did the ramp walk.
