The seasons in a year have an influence on the energies around us and most of the metaphysical sciences including Feng Shui pay a lot of attention to these energies and its influence on life on planet Earth. There are certain specific periods in a year which have a great significance as energies are elevated and most beneficial to human life.
In the metaphysical science of Feng Shui, the prime focus is the flow of Energy called “qi” (Chi). The Egyptians call it Ka, in Hebrew its Ruach, the Japanese refers to it as Ki, and in Hindusim it’s called “Prana” or “Shakthi” and it exhibits the popular theory that “Energy cannot be created or destroyed”. The qi (Chi) energy manifests in various forms and is based on the theory that there is a continuous flow of energy between humans and their physical surroundings. Feng Shui supports the energy flow in your environment, which directly impacts the energy flow in your body and thus can unleash more of your energy and vitality.
It’s no surprise that the Chinese metaphysical science had several approaches embedded in Feng Shui which are based on codes and symbolism connecting back to the Sun and its energy. The human life on Earth and the Sun is the relationship of the microcosm and macrocosm and the flow of energies in and around us.
The point of entry of such universal energies into the human body is through the Crown also known as the “Crown Chakra” or “Sahasra Chakra.” The Chakras are Energy Centres which act as translators for the energy. These Centres help to slow down or speed up energy as it passes within the energy system.
The absorption of the cosmic forces in the Energy Centres and conducting them through the meridians or pathways give rise to an increase in energy field within and outside the physical body of the individual which is referred to as “Aura.”
To ensure positivity in us and in our home you can adapt following simple approach.
A. Ensure that energy flow is unrestricted and moving freely; if it is blocked or stagnant, you may find it hard to achieve your aspirations. Remove obstructions and clutter from your pathways, hallways, driveway and entry. Keep them open and clear for free flowing Chi (energy).
B. Balance and harmony are fundamentals of Feng Shui walk around and feel the energy of your space — how does it feel to you? If you detect a lack of balance or harmony in a particular area, take note of it and try to realign things.
C. Strengthen the North sector or the area of your home or office, as it is connected to Your Path in Life, or Career. Both Water and Metal element colours are good in this sector and you could even place images connected to the growth of your career and overall, your growth as a human being on this earth.
