Mysore/Mysuru: Devagitam Charitable Trust, Mysuru, has been working steadily in the areas of Music, Literature and Academics over the last 13 years.

On Apr. 21 (Sunday), the Trust is celebrating the birth centenary of H.Y. Sharada Prasad, veteran journalist who also served as the Media Adviser for three Prime Ministers.

Krishna Prasad, Senior Journalist, will deliver a lecture on ‘Journalism in the time of  fake news, propaganda and mass delusion’ at 10.30 am at Ganabharathi’s Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempuanagar.

Prof. C.N. Srinath, Director, Dhvanyaloka, will preside.

Profile: H.Y. Sharada Prasad (15 April 1924 – 2 September 2008) was a freedom fighter, journalist, writer, civil servant and institution builder. He was Media Adviser to three PMs, including Indira Gandhi, and was involved with the development of National Institute of Design and Indian Institute of Mass Communication. He wrote several books and served as Editor of the Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru.
