To mark the centenary celebrations of the historic 1924 Congress Session chaired by Mahatma Gandhi at Belagavi, a grand statue of the Mahatma was unveiled in the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha premises in Belagavi this morning. The 25-foot-tall statue, weighing 20 tons, has been installed near the North Gate of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge (fourth from left), who unveiled the statue, is seen with (from left) Ministers Satish Jarkiholi & H.K.
