Mysore/Mysuru: City-based Excel Public School has set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in collaboration with FactoryMind, an industrial plant operating system, from Oslo, Norway, as the industry partner, with the aim of establishing a benchmark of best practices in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and Robotics.

The CoE is expected to create a matured and collaborative IoT ecosystem with the help of research scholars and professionals from FactoryMind, who would work with the teachers and students of the school to develop extensive knowledge of the future technologies.

The CoE was inaugurated by R. Ramanan, former Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission and former Additional Secretary NITI Aayog.

Inge Grini, CEO of FactoryMind, Santosh Kotnis, CEO of FactoryMind India & APAC and David Lindberg, Co-founder and CTO joined the inaugural ceremony virtually.

Ramanan also interacted with the faculty and students at Excel Public School and shared his insights on various topics like the need for innovation at the school level, the need to change the teaching-learning process in the 21st century from the conventional mode to transformational mode, embracing entrepreneurship, need for empathy to design new innovations and setting of new benchmark and standards in education.
