CESC deputes teams to cyclone-hit: Odisha to assist power restoration works

Mysuru:  To lend a helping hand to Central Electricity Supply Utility (CESU) to restore the power grid in cyclone Fani-hit areas in Odisha, Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) has deputed 18 teams of 204 staff to Bhubaneswar in Odisha. Each team will be under the supervision of an Assistant Engineer/Junior Engineer. The team left for Bhubaneswar by a special train at 3.30 pm on May 17 from Bengaluru Cantonment Station.

KPTCL Director Shivakumar, CESC Managing Director Dr. H.N. Gopalakrishna, Director Aftab Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer A. Shivanna, General Manager G.L. Chandrashekar and others were present.

The deputed teams have already begun assisting the power restoration works in Odisha, according to a press release from CESC. Similar teams have also been deputed from other ESCOMs in the State.
