Mysuru: The 38th Dr. V. Subrahmanyan Memorial Inter High School English Debate Competition was inaugurated by Dr. H.S. Shivanna, Past Rotary District Governor, Mysuru, at CFTRI School recently.

Dr. M.N. Keshava Prakash, Head, CIFS Department, CSIR-CFTRI,  presided.  Prof. G.R. Prakash, Retd. Associate Professor in Chemistry, RIE, Mysuru, Prof. Karunakaran Shaji, Assistant Professor, RIE, S. Vedavathi,    Lecturer in English, Nataraja P.U.College, were the judges of the competition.  The prize winners are as follows:

CFTRI School: Aparna Gupta- I prize; Vijaya Vittala: H.K. Tejas-II prize; Acharya Vidya Kula: K.V. Sudhanva -III prize; CFTRI School: K.N. Sinchana -I Consolation; Vijaya Vittala: Dhruthi Bhat- II Consolation; St. Joseph’s Central school: Trisha Shivakumar-III Consolation.

CFTRI School bagged the Winners’  Shield for Overall Performance while  Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala got Runners’ Shield, according to a press release.
