Chain snatched in Vidyaranyapuram

Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have snatched a gold chain of a woman, who was on her way to a Kalyana Mantap to attend a marriage. The incident took place on Wednesday night in Vidyaranyapuram.

The woman, who lost her gold chain, is Sheshashree, wife of Subramanya and a resident of Vidyaranyapuram 4th Main in city. Sheshashree, was proceeding to the Kalyana Mantap to attend the wedding reception of a relative, when two persons, who came on a scooter from the opposite direction, yanked off her 30 grams gold mangalya chain near Sumukha Diagnostic Centre and Bhoomi Store on the 11th Cross in Vidyaranyapuram 4th Main and sped away. When the miscreants snatched the gold mangalya chain, the gold pendant fell on the ground and the miscreants escaped with the gold chain.

Vidyaranyapuram Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, collected footages of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity and have launched a hunt to nab the chain snatchers.
