Chain-snatcher arrested

Mysuru: The CCB Police have arrested a chain-snatcher, who had allegedly snatched a gold chain from a woman in   a KSRTC bus.

The arrested has been identified as Nayaz Pasha alias Talla, 20, a resident of Sathagalli in the city.

The Police have recovered a 22 gram gold chain worth about Rs.75,000 from him.

Acting on a tip off, the CCB sleuths picked up Nayaz Pasha near a jewellery shop located on Ashoka Road on Aug.11.

During interrogation, Nayaz Pasha confessed to have snatched a chain from a woman while she was alighting from a bus at the KSRTC Suburban Bus Stand, following which a 22 gram gold chain worth Rs.75,000 was recovered from him.

Lashkar Police, who had registered a case in this regard, are on the look out for the other accused in the case, who  has gone absconding.
