Railway Police recover Rs. 3 lakh worth 60 grams gold mangalya chain

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Railway Police have arrested a chain-snatcher and have recovered a 60 grams gold mangalya chain worth Rs. 3 lakh from him. The arrested is 31-year-old Sanjeeva Reddy, a resident of Navalagunda taluk of Dharwad district.

On Sept. 4 morning, one Suma Uday was helping her daughter Sagarika board the Mysuru-Dadar Express train, which had arrived on Platform No. 2 in K.R. Nagar Railway Station and was giving the luggage to her when Sanjeeva Reddy snatched Suma’s gold mangalya chain and fled from the spot.

Suma had lodged a complaint with Mysuru Railway Police, who registered a case, nabbed the accused, recovered the stolen gold chain and handed him over to judicial custody.

Bengaluru Railway Superintendent of Police Sirigowri and DSP Geetha guided Inspector Manju, Sub-Inspector Mahesh, ASI P. Srinivas, Jagannath, Mohan, Raghu and Chandrashekar in the nabbing and recovery operation.
